About

 My consultancy and management service has a strong focus on change management

and financial planning.  

This includes organisational development, strategic/succession planning, practice finance management, recruitment, HR, contractual compliance, business and project management - all undertaken with excellent interpersonal, facilitation and IT skills.

  • 2004: My career in General Practice Management commenced in 2004 with a highly successful Dispensing Practice in North Essex.  This followed a background of commercial finance, HR, organisational development, project management and conflict resolution.
  • 2010: I became an Independent Specialist Practice Management Consultant in 2010.  This was a natural progression - having been offered the opportunity to work on a consultancy basis with vulnerable Practices across Essex by the Chief Executive of the Essex Local Medical Committee (LMC); successfully guiding and supporting them to achieve stability and growth following periods of great change and many challenging circumstances.
  • Since then, I have been awarded commissions by Primary Care Trusts, LMCs, NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGS),  GP Federations, University NHS Foundation Trusts, Boarding School Medical Centres, the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and numerous GP Practices across London, East Anglia, the South East and Midlands.  

  • 2015:  I was appointed as a Specialist Practice Management Advisor for the Royal College of Practitioners in 2015; supporting Practices placed in Special Measures following Care Quality Commission inspections.
  • 2017:  My appointment with the Royal College of General Practitioners was extended in 2017 to include working with vulnerable Practices under the National Practice Resilience Schemes.

My Recent commissions have included:

Locum/Interim Practice Management positions ranging between three months and two years;

Practice business reviews;

Practice "resilience" diagnostic reviews and support;

 Improvement recommendations for profitability and sustainability;

Organisational re-design and development;

Project management of solicitors and surveyors on the acquisition and fit-out of new GP Practice premises;

Care Quality Commission compliance and GP Practice preparation;

Tender/bid document production for GP Federation-led services;

Bids for new GP Practice APMS Contracts acquisition;

Service programme delivery management and implementation for GP Federations;

Recruitment service: Practice Managers and Practice Business Managers and other key non-clinical staff
